Sweet and Sour Sauce:
(serves 3 or 4)

3/4 cup white sugar (I do half pineapple juice from canned pineapple and half sugar)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/3 cup white vinegar
2/3 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 Tablespoon ketchup
– In a sauce pan mix sugar with the corn starch
-Then put the sauce pan over medium heat and add remaining ingredients.
– Stir it often.
– It will begin to boil and thicken. Keep it boiling until it is as thick as you like.

Great sauce for chicken, vegetable and rice stir fry!

Wacky Cake: Chocolate, no eggs

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar (or use vanilla sugar and leave out the vanilla extract)
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
6 tablespoons cocoa
3/4 cup oil
2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
2 cups water
-Turn the oven on to 180 Celsius
-Mix all the dry ingredients together
-Then add the oil, vinegar, vanilla, and water and mix until smooth
-Spread a little butter around a 9 by 13 inch pan, and then put a little flour in the pan. Turn the pan so that a light dusting of flour covers the inside of the pan.
-Pour the batter into the prepared pan and put it in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
-When you think the cake is done stick a tooth pick in the center, if it comes out clean the cake is done. Remove the cake and let it cool in the pan.
-When cake is cool frost it and share it with friends 🙂
